Hybrid Packages
By Noah K. Film and Photo

As a photographer and videographer I'm always willing to offer only one of those services, but where I feel my best work is done is when I'm hired to do both in a hybrid coverage package.
Here's the four main reasons I advocate for a hybrid package vs hiring photo and video separately.
-
Your photo/video team is working towards the same goal. With separate teams, they will often get in each other's way because they don't work together often, and are focused only on their own task rather than the overall goal of capturing both photo and video.
-
You'll save time. Instead of booking, planning, paying invoices, and communicating with two vendors, you'll only need to do that once with a hybrid package.
-
Your cost will be less. Packaging photo and video together makes things more efficient from booking and planning to the post production process. This allows me to pass along some savings compared to booking these two vendors separately.
-
There's less disruption on your wedding day. Not everyone wants a full production team constantly around them on their wedding day. My simplest hybrid packages have only myself capturing photo and video, and my largest team would be 3-4 people. If you were to hire photo and video separately, you'll usually end up with at least 1 more person there than would be necessary with a hybrid team since we are all working towards the same goal.
