Hybrid Packages
By Noah K. Film and Photo
As a photographer and videographer I'm always willing to offer only one of those services, but where I feel my best work is done is when I'm hired to do both in a hybrid coverage package. Here's how that typically looks on a wedding day.
For most weddings I'll hire an associate photographer to work alongside me capturing photos throughout the day while I put my focus on being the creative director, capturing video, and taking a few photos. The photographers I work with are top tier people who I can trust to take amazing images and create an incredible wedding day experience.
With the flexibility of today's cameras and RAW images, I'm able to edit the images in my own style, consistent with the rest of my work.
There's three main reasons I advocate for a hybrid package vs hiring photo and video separately.
-
Your photo/video team is working towards the same goal. With separate teams, they will often get in each other's way because they don't work together often, and are focused only on their own task rather than the overall goal of capturing both photo and video.
-
You'll save time. Instead of booking, planning, paying invoices, and communicating with two vendors, you'll only need to do that once with a hybrid package.
-
Your cost will be less. Packaging photo and video together makes things more efficient from booking and planning to the post production process. This allows me to pass along some savings compared to booking these two vendors separately.
